1 Enter a Tenant and Key label. For laptops, add Laptop; for phones, add Phone.
2 Click Begin registration. If using a USB extender, replug the key now.
3 Click Create credential on key…. Touch the metal contact until the status says Registration completed.
4 Do this on each device for the same tenant. The same key can be used on many devices.
USB extender note: unplug/replug after Begin registration if the browser doesn’t offer the key.
Desktop Chrome/Edge: native dialog appears; touch until it turns green.
Mobile: open this page in Chrome/Android or Safari/iOS, tap Create credential on key…, then tap the key to the back of the phone (NFC) or plug it in (USB-C).
If the key types random letters into this chat: it’s in OTP/Keyboard mode. Download YubiKey Manager, open Interfaces, uncheck OTP / HID Keyboard, leave FIDO2 checked, apply/save, and reinsert.
Master account / client shipping: send clients an onboarding link with tenant/label pre-filled. They don’t need to type anything.
